Innovation meets tradition
For us, innovation is not a project with a beginning and an end. It is part of our corporate development. For over 40 years, we have been running our family business with the aim of regularly questioning the status quo and consistently implementing new solutions. In 2026, this was recognized with the TOP 100 Innovator seal. In the category of 51 to 200 employees, we are now one of the 100 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.
Why was Hänssler awarded the TOP 100 Innovator 2026 seal?
The award is based on a scientifically sound selection process with more than 100 evaluation criteria. Among other things, the selection process examines the management’s commitment to promoting innovation, the climate of innovation within the company, the organization of development processes, and the actual success of innovations. The evaluation is carried out by the team led by Professor Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business on behalf of the competition organizer compamedia.
We particularly impressed with our LFAM technology for the resource-efficient production of large-format plastic parts, our development partner approach, our digital innovation, and several research projects. Our corporate culture, which combines technological advancement with family values, also plays a key role. Innovation does not happen in isolation at our company, but rather through close collaboration between employees, customers, and partners.
Award ceremony and outlook
The official award ceremony will take place on June 26, 2026, as part of the German SME Summit in Heidelberg. There, former German President Christian Wulff, mentor of the competition, will personally congratulate us on receiving the TOP 100 Innovator seal.
Over the course of the year, we will present the projects and approaches behind our pursuit of innovation in a targeted and comprehensible manner. This will show how innovation is created in our company and why it is an integral part of our corporate culture.
